Let the Sun Shine In

If you want to make the most of your sunroom, don’t forget the windows. Although you want to welcome the sunshine, light and heat control must be considered.

Fully functioning shades or blinds can help you maximize the use of your space. These window treatments allow the light in when you want to bask in the glow but also provide shade when you require a bit of a respite from the brightness.

Window treatments are available in a wide variety of styles and finishes. Some of the best choices for a sunroom include faux wood blinds, Roman shades and roller shades.  Natural materials, such as bamboo or woven grasses, are very popular choices for shades and can evoke a sense of the tropics, especially fitting for a sunroom.

For an added thermal barrier consider cellular blinds which insulate from the heat and cold, but retract for a clean visual when not in use.
