Flexible Designs

With the passage of time, the wants and needs for your family home will change.  This could mean you may end up needing more (or less) space than you originally planned for.

It can be fairly expensive and frustrating to add rooms to your home or renovate your existing space. That’s why it is important to consider “Flexible Living Space” when you are designing your new home.  Consider “What elements of the home will you use regularly? Are these spaces located in the best areas in your home?”

Flexible Living spaces include (but are not limited to):

  • Bedrooms that can be converted into a home office
  • Rooms that can be combined to create in law suites
  • Offices that can become dining rooms (or vice versa)
  • Bed and bath arrangements that work for more than one family living in the home
  • Home offices
  • Private areas for craft, homes school or music rooms
  • Bonus rooms
  • Storage space

Designing your home with a flexible floor plan will allow you and your family to enjoy your home for many years. The flexible design will increase resale value and your home will be more desirable for a greater range of potential buyers.
