Clear Communication is the Key to Your Dream Home

To build a home that really expresses your wants and needs, your best guarantee is the partnership you form with your builder

You and your builder will be working together for an extended period of time, and a friendly, transparent relationship is crucial to creating the home you envision.

Communication—lots of communication—is critical. A good builder will provide a detailed plan review before construction on your home even begins. This eliminates any design concerns and makes everyone involved with building your dream home aware of the aspects of the home design that are most important to you.

As your vision for your home takes shape, it remains important for your builder to make sure they are in tune with your desires. You should have easy access to the project and all contact information for your builder so you can reach them at anytime.

It’s an advantage to you to have a strong team that can research and implement design changes quickly an easily. A full-service builder that can meet you onsite, listen to your ideas, show you how they will work, and make them happen, is a builder you want to be working with. While changes can incur additional costs, a reputable builder will research and design your changes—and go over any extra expenses before they show up on your bill.

Finally, you’ll find differences in the details. Builders that truly care about your satisfaction will look after the “small” details that other builders won’t—like job site clean-up. Lumber and supplies stacked neatly, coffee cups in the dumpster, garbage put away, and regular, thorough clean-ups, are signs that your builder truly cares.

Our friends told us that if we had our home built by Sawlor it would be an experience like no other. They were correct.
