All Homeowners should expect to receive a written, third-party warranty with their new home purchase. The Atlantic Home Warranty Program (AHWP) offers a great seven-year warranty, with an option for 10 years of coverage. The AHWP requires member builders to meet a high standard of professionalism and quality, and it provides clearly documented guidelines as to what is acceptable and what is expected.
In the unlikely event that your builder does not honor its commitments, the AHWP will step in and make sure your concerns are addressed. Just knowing your builder is a member of a reputable warranty program offers you peace of mind.
