VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) free paints should be used by builders where “green” building standards are sought. The elimination of VOC’s result in a virtually odourless formula which provides better indoor air quality. The excellent durability and no residual odor allows most areas to be painted and occupied in the same day!
Glidden Paints, with their Lifemaster line of products, was one of the original companies to develop VOC free paints. There are now other brands to pick from and your builder will direct you to the brand that is best for your new home.
