You will be working with a home builder for an extended period of time and a friendly, transparent relationship is crucial to creating the home you had envisioned. Communication, lots of communication, is critical. The first step with our team is to provide an incredibly detailed plan review before we even start your home. This eliminates any design concerns and makes everyone involved with building your dream home aware of the aspects of the home design that are most important to you.

As your vision for a new home takes shape on site, it remains important for the builder to make sure they are in tune with your every desire. Sawlor clients are provided with their own set of keys and contact phone numbers for use at any time. A client remarked to us recently how incredibly fortunate they feel for choosing Sawlor Built Homes because our philosophy and process respected every question and change important to them. It was a contrast with a previous experience building a home in Toronto where the builder would not allow them to make a single change or even visit the site!

It’s an advantage to you to have a strong team that can research and implement design changes quickly and easily. A Sawlor advantage is that we do not have to wait for outside experts to design options for us. We meet our client onsite, listen to their ideas, show them how it will work and then we make it happen. While the change itself could be an additional cost, the research and design is just part of our service.

Sometimes, what seems like a small detail can give you important clues about a builder. A simple service Sawlor pays attention to is jobsite cleanup. We have staff in place that will keep your site clean on a weekly basis. Lumber and supplies are stacked neatly, but even more important, those coffee cups are put in the dumpster, the garbage is not blowing around the yard and everyone just feels better about the entire project.
